Julian J. D’Agostine
In Memoriam 1930-2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our founder, colleague and friend, Julian J. D’Agostine.
Julian earned a J.D. from Boston College Law School in 1953 and an M.A. from Boston College in 1962. He attended Army Military Justice School in 1954 and served as Trial Counsel Judge Advocate, General Corps in the U.S. Army, litigating the Korean War Treason Trials from 1954-1957.
Julian founded DLPN in 1957 – over 60 years ago. DLPN quickly became one of the state’s first boutique firms specializing in real estate. Julian was a drafter of the Massachusetts subdivision control law and the first generation of condominium law. He was active in and served in leadership roles in numerous bar associations, real estate industry associations and organizations, as well as the Board of Bar Overseers.
In addition to his legal career, Julian was passionate about skiing, hockey and his beloved alma mater, Boston College.
His larger than life personality will never be forgotten by those who knew him.
